When French Montana graced his first major magazine cover, he made an enemy out of PETA when he wore a bear to the shoot. Even before he had much mainstream attention, French Montana had money and he loved wearing his furs. Before French Montana moved to The Bronx, he lived in the motherland that is Africa, growing up in Morocco.
French Montana has two weeks before he releases Excuse My French. With so many delays on his album, French Montana decided he would drop the album on the birthday of The Notorious B.I.G. It pays homage to both B.I.G. and Bad Boy Records, his label home. Currently, French Montana has one of the hottest songs out with “Freaks,” featuring Nicki Minaj.
Criticized for only having major features on his hit singles, French Montana promised a song with more focus on him. The Weeknd will also be featured on Excuse My French and the music video for their “Gifted” track caused a bit of controversy. French Montana talked to MTV News about the baby tigers in the upcoming video and revealed his plans to keep them.
