In 2011, French Montana signed his major label deal with Bad Boy Records and he credited this deal to helping to bring New York back. Before this, French Montana was close to signing to G.O.O.D. Music. His relationship with Kanye West was good, but French Montana could not get up to him on a frequent basis.
Recent turns of events have French Montana put back in the same circle as his almost label boss. Kanye West and French Montana did not work out as label-mates, but they are playing the roles of brothers-in-law. Currently, French Montana is working on his second album, Mac & Cheese 4, which is due this year.
French Montana was on the red carpet of the 2014 BET Awards and MTV News was there with Nadeska Alexis. Stopping for a brief interview with Lil Durk beside him, French Montana spoke on Mac & Cheese 4. He is working with Kanye West on the upcoming album.
