Although Future is on a roll with his new music, providing hooks on several of the hottest songs out, namely Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.” and Ace Hood’s “Bugatti,” controversy is why his name is so hot. Originally, Future put Lil Wayne on “Karate Chop (remix)” and the Emmett Till incident happened. On “U.O.E.N.O.,” Rick Ross also made waves.

Though it did not happen instantly, Lil Wayne eventually paid the price for his disrespectful lyrics. Emmett Till’s family reached out to Lil Wayne several times, with no response, even after his health crisis. When Emmett Till’s family threatened to speak with his sponsors, they got their apology, but Mountain Dew still dropped Lil Wayne.

Big Boy’s Neighborhood received a call from Future and he broke his ongoing silence about the controversy. While Lil Wayne’s verse crossed all types of lines, Future feels it is a blessing in disguise. Future thinks the mention has made people revisit Emmett Till and learn more about him.
