G. Dep solved a cold case on himself, in 2010, when he confessed to a 1993 murder. During the time, he had gotten saved and wanted to absolve himself of all guilt. When he ended up going to court, G. Dep further surprised people by pleading not guilty to the charges. Despite this, G. Dep ended up being sentenced to prison in 2012. This morning, he was released after the Governor of New York granted him clemency.

G. Dep rose to fame, when he was signed to Bad Boy Records. He is best-known for his 2001 hit single, “Special Delivery.” In addition, G. Dep had the single, “Let’s Get It,” featuring Diddy and the late Black Rob. A few years ago, 50 Cent revealed he wrote some of the lyrics of “Let’s Get It,” as he was explaining his history with Diddy. Obviously, now that Diddy is going through his legal troubles, 50 Cent has been the main person making fun of him.

G. Dep first turned himself in, back in 2010, but he didn’t go to trial until 2012. After that, he was sentenced to prison. He robbed and shot a man in 1993, running off afterward. However, he didn’t stay to realize that the man lost his life. After spending twelve years behind bars, G. Dep has been released. In a sense of irony, the timing of his prison release has coincided with Diddy going through legal troubles, and being under investigation.
