With the Drug War mixtape with Boo Rossini dropping on July 9, do you feel any pressure going in? Not so much. Being the CEO of AMG has prepared me for moments like this
Leading up to the mixtape release, you guys have dropped a lot of tracks, how do you feel about the fan reaction? Real good. The fans have been the driving force behind this project.
You recently dropped the “Faded” track with Big K.R.I.T., what was it like to work with him before he became such a big star? He’s a very talented artist and I plan on doing more with him in the future, especially on production.
What elements did Bigga Rankin bring to the Drug War mixtape? He put all the pieces to the puzzle together. I look forward to doing more projects with him in the future.
Why did you choose him and DJ J-Bone to host the project? Jay Bone is my official DJ, so it was only right.
Will you be releasing another song to go along with the July 9 mixtape release? No, just the tape. We put out three songs from it already, “Strip Club,” “Plug,” and “Trill” with Yo Gotti and Scarface.
What has it been like to see all the support you and Boo Rossini have received from the veteran hip hop artists? I can’t speak for Boo, but for me it feels like I’m on the right track when the OGs step up to support what I’m doing.
Are there any surprise guests we should expect to see on the mixtape? You’ll just have to wait and see (laughs).
Can you talk about the “Trill” track with Yo Gotti and Scarface? Gotti and Face together on a track just made sense. I got a good relationship with both of them and they are both some trill niggas, so it was only right to put the two together.
Why should fans support your project with a download and where can we find you on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram? I’m giving them me, I’m giving them the streets. Follow me here on Twitter, check me out on Instagram, and on Facebook. Also, BostonGeorgeAMG.com is my official website.
