Towards the end of 2016, Fences premiered to critical acclaim. The film follows the story of Troy (Denzel Washington), a waste management worker. Troy once played in the Negro Leagues, in baseball, before marrying Rose (Viola Davis), and having Cory (Jovan Adepo).
Cory (Adepo) has shown promise as a football prospect, but often clashes with Troy (Washington) over his ambitions. Projecting his own athletic failures onto his son, Troy wants a normal life for Cory. In the end, this proved to be a major point in their relationship.
Recently, Hip-HopVibe.com interviewed Jovan Adepo at the Fences press junket. The lovely Shannon Fox, of Foxy TV, and Miss California USA, was the host of the interview. Their conversation centered around Adepo’s upbringing, moving to America at a young age, the Fences moving, acting opposite Denzel Washington, and much more.
