High school basketball referee talked on the phone during game
In many ways, people are more passionate about high school sports, instead of college and professional sports. Much of this passion comes from people being related to and knowing the kids who are playing in those games. Also, many of the adults who are following the games attended these schools when they were younger. Supporting their schools, and their kids, people love it, plus the social gatherings. But one local basketball game had a referee talking on his phone while the kids were playing.
Every level of sports comes with an added pressure that most older people never dealt with. When it comes to basketball, the NBA is a trillion dollar industry. As a result, there are parents pushing their children towards the NBA at the age of five. They have their children in all kinds of basketball leagues and there’s much pressure on high school games. However, one thing most can never have said is that they dealt with a referee taking a phone call during the game.
In the middle of a high school basketball game, the kids had a call. However, the man who was doing the refereeing was in the middle of a phone call. As a result, the kids playing on both teams were screaming at the man. One player even threw the ball at the referee. In addition, there were the adults who were in the stands that were upset with the ref. There was one adult who even made some threatening comments towards the ref.
