The year of 2017 has been an amazing year in hip hop. One of the most-hip hop moments came in Cardi B. She rose from the “Love & Hip Hop” ranks to the top of Billboard with “Bodak Yellow.” Sprinkled in was the Jay-Z 4:44 run.
DJ Khaled was expected to have a strong run and he also topped Billboard for the first time in his career. What was unexpected was comebacks from French Montana and Kendrick Lamar. Their comeback runs put them on career-high levels, as Future also had a strong year.
