In-N-Out in Oakland to close due to consistent crime in the area
In-N-Out has been a very popular fast food restaurant across the west coast, ever since 1948. However, they did end up expanding down south, to Texas. As a result, customers love enjoying the hamburgers that they provide, as well as items on In-N-Out’s “secret menu.”
Meanwhile, In-N-Out location in Oakland, CA is now unfortunately closing for good. According to reporter Dion Lim of KGO-TV in San Francisco, this is as a result of frequent crime in the area, in a statement released by the company.. These include car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies, and more, per Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick. Furthermore, this In-N-Out location in Oakland has been there for over 18 years.
Repeated steps were made in order to make this area safer, but to no avail. As a result, this In-N-Out in Oakland will officially close on March 24. Regarding employees who work there, they can be transferred or can receive a severance package. Moreover, despite the closing of this location, In-N-Out will still support local charitable organizations in Oakland through their In-N-Out Burger Foundation and Slave 2 Nothing Foundation.
