There’s good and there’s great and as good as John Wall played, tonight, the world learned Isaiah Thomas was great. He showed the world what big players do in big games. Still, personally, John Wall is the better player of the two.
But, when it comes down to being clutch, Isaiah Thomas was that, and then some. Through most of Game 2, it looked like everyone would go into the night talking about John Wall’s heroic performance in the win for the Wizards. That’s not going to be the conversation.
Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics to a comeback win over the Wizards in overtime. While doing this, Thomas had his own comeback over Wall, in terms of points scored, to lead all scorers with 53 points. Each point was more important than the last, as Boston avoided losing home court advantage, and now stand two wins from the Eastern Conference Finals.
