Once again, J. Cole is dominating the rap game with his Born Sinner album out today. Competition for him is stiff and it comes from within the Roc Nation family. Kanye West released Yeezus the same day J. Cole released his album. Ironically, J. Cole has the hit single out, but Kanye West has no music out and is expected to debut on top of the charts.
Recently, J. Cole received a lot of press for his song “Let Nas Down.” He even planned on ending the longstanding feud between Nas and 50 Cent by featuring them both on “New York Times.” This ultimately did not happen, but J. Cole has managed to remain in the good graces of the veterans with songs like “Let Nas Down.”
BET caught up with J. Cole on the release date of his album. Of course, J. Cole was speaking on his new album and “Let Nas Down” became a major talking point for him. J. Cole spoke to BET about letting Nas hear “Let Nas Down” for the first time and the reaction the Queens legend had after hearing the song.
