Because J. Cole released Born Sinner this week, he has dominated the headlines over the past few weeks. What a difference one album makes, as J. Cole faced several delays with his first album, but he pushed his sophomore album up. It was the stiff competition that led to J. Cole pushing his album up.

J. Cole went all out for his Born Sinner album, surprising people with 50 Cent appearing on the album. “New York Times” is the name of the record and it is regarded as one of the best on the LP, which is surprising. Originally, J. Cole wanted to feature Nas on the track alongside 50 Cent.

Yesterday, J. Cole sat down with Sway Calloway for MTV’s “RapFix Live” and he talked about working with 50 Cent. Different from most of his collaborations, J. Cole said 50 Cent urged him to get right in the studio and record his verse. Being up for the challenge, J. Cole managed to pull off something few people do.
