It’s tragic that there has been another killing of an urban youth in only two years after the Trayvon Martin situation. These are only two of the many unlawful killings happening, these just happened to make headlines. Hip hop has jumped in immediately to show their support to Michael Brown and the people of Ferguson.
J. Cole dropped the “Be Free” single last week and he has since taken the trip out to the hometown of Michael Brown. Visiting what will be Michael Brown’s final resting place, J. Cole became very vocal in the situation. While in Ferguson, J. Cole only wanted to connect with the people, not doing interviews.
However, Complex managed to briefly gain access to J. Cole, as they sent one of their crew members to Ferguson. Very briefly, J. Cole talked to Complex and he told them it was because he has a friend who works there. During the interview, J. Cole spoke on being in Ferguson and Michael Brown.
