J. Cole will top charts in third week of “Born Sinner,” seen in rare photo with Jay-Z [PHOTO]

J. Cole 18Real lyricism is coming back and J. Cole is a big reason for this transition. On thing is for sure, London loves him and they have a good reason to. If personal opinions are allowed, Born Sinner is the album of the year, if not sincerest apologies go out to Hip Hop Vibe, but someone has to tell the truth.

Over the past five, or so, years, a lot of emphasis has been placed on first week album sales. Yeah, everybody wants to debut at number one, but consistency is what closes deals, not first week sales. Everybody expected Yeezus to shut the game down, which it did to a degree, but J. Cole was on Kanye West’s tail.

Selling strong in week two, J. Cole has hit a resurgence going into week three and he has now reached the top of the Billboard chats. J. Cole now is winning the battle of June 18, three weeks later. Now, in a bit of unrelated news, people who wanted to see the Roc Nation rapper in a photo with Jay-Z can see it here.
