Jadakiss Says The Lox Were Able to Get on Kanye West’s “Jesus Lord Pt. 2” From “Donda” Album, After a Member of Kanye’s Team, Reached out to Kiss’ Older Son [VIDEO]

Kanye West currently has the number one album in the US, with “Donda.” This is his 10th consecutive number one album, as this project was delayed, three times. This is as Ye had three album listening events over the past month, with the last one concluding in his hometown of Chicago.

One of the biggest collabs on Donda was “Jesus Lord Pt.2,” featuring The Lox. Fans were ecstatic to hear the New York trio on this record, especially after the show that they put on, in their Verzuz battle, vs Dipset, in early August.

In a new interview with HipHopDX, Jadakiss explained how The Lox got on this record, which ended up on the album. It all started after a rep from Kanye’s camp reached out to Kiss’ eldest son.

“Someone from Ye’s camp actually reached out to my older son,” Jadakiss explained. “Then Ye called us the next day after Verzuz, he hit me the next morning. We flew straight there and went straight to the studio and knocked the song out. Then went and rested and came back the next day and went to the event and flew back. It was ill. It was a different experience for us, but it was super dope.”

In addition to The Lox, Jay Electronica and Larry Hoover Jr, were also on Jesus Lord Pt. 2. Fans first got an opportunity to hear this record, during the second Donda album listening event, inside Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
