Jamie Foxx sued for alleged 2015 sexual assault
Jamie Foxx is in some concerning legal woes, as he’s currently being accused of sexual assault, from nearly a decade ago. According to TMZ, he is being sued by a woman for sexual assault, due to an incident at an NYC rooftop venue, back in August TMZ.
At the time, Foxx reportedly met a woman at Catch NYC & Roof, around 11PM. The woman who’s the reported victim met Foxx, due to him being seated one table away from her. Moreover, she soon wanted to take a photo with Foxx, around 1AM. Furthermore, the actor supposedly replied with “Sure, baby anything for you.”
Foxx went on to tell this woman that she had a “supermodel body,” and even looked like Gabrielle Union. This came as the two continued to take photos together. However, things took a quick turn, as Foxx is said to have pulled her by the arm to the back area of the rooftop. Therefore, he placed both of his hands on her waist, and moved them under her top and started rubbing her breasts.
The woman is listed in court documents as Jane Doe, as she attempted to step away from Foxx. Security and others reportedly saw what was occurring as well, but didn’t take action. As a result, Foxx allegedly soon slid his hand into her pants and put his fingers on and in her vagina and anus.
Doe soon claimed that this incident resulted in her being injured and needing medical treatment. She added that she suffered pain, suffering and emotional distress as a result of the “sexual assault, abuse, assault and battery.” In this lawsuit, Foxx, Catch NYC & Roof and its employees are being sued for compensatory and punitive damages.
Meanwhile, this lawsuit comes amid Foxx being hospitalized, earlier this year, in Atlanta. However, he quickly recovered at a Chicago physical rehab facility, and began being out and about the city. He was even spotted at a bowling alley, and helped a woman recover a lost purse.
