Often, hip hop fans have the discussion of who the best rappers of all-time are. Most lists include different variations of Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, and Eminem. Some lists go older or newer and these variations may include Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rakim, and Big Daddy Kane, among others.
However, Jay-Z makes most lists because of his music, his consistency, and what he’s doing for hip hop outside of his own music. Many, however, feel Jay-Z’s current run is doing nothing but tarnishing his legacy. Hip hop is an art form, so everything is opinion-based and there are no facts.
One fact, however, is Jay-Z and Beyonce securing a deal with HBO to broadcast their “On the Run” tour as a documentary. Anyone with HBO can catch all the performances on all the dates. One viewer did just this and they caught Jay-Z saying that he is the best rapper, ever.
