It’s no secret that TIDAL has stumbled out of the gate. An idea Jay Z had about giving ownership back to the artists, via music streaming, the service struggled. Of course, Jay Z’s TIDAL is going up against such titans as Spotify.

Jay Z has dealt with all kinds of rumors about TIDAL, which comes when a celebrity does business ventures. Most recently, Jay Z faced rumors of his wife, Beyonce, being forced to pull out of the company. It was also said that Jay Z isn’t actually the owner of TIDAL.

Each time TIDAL faces adversity, the team comes out with something new for the fans. Exclusive content has been a win, but even a new Lil Wayne single isn’t going to be enough. Desktop apps for Mac and Windows computers make TIDAL more accessible and moves like these can be wins, along with a new student discount.
