In music, it gets no bigger than Jay-Z, and all of that is based simply off the consistency he had, when he was an artist. Following his debut album, Jay-Z signed a joint venture with Def Jam. To ensure the deal was a success, he dropped an album every year, for seven years.
Unprecedented, Jay-Z made even more history, when he retired from rapping, to become Def Jam’s CEO. This proved to be valuable learning experience for him to create Roc Nation. A decade later, this is the premier entertainment venue for major stars, in all fields.
Jay-Z recently sat down with David Letterman for an interview on his show, “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” on Netflix. In the clip that leaked, yesterday, Jay-Z spoke on his mother coming out. While he doesn’t believe in crying because of happiness, Jay-Z admitted crying tears of joy, as she told him her news.
