One of the hardest-working independent artists in the game is J’Mel. Unlike most rappers from New York, J’Mel has spent years down South. Many New York rappers have Southern appeal, but few have actually lived the Southern life. J’Mel spent a great deal of time in Atlanta, becoming acclimated with Waka Flocka Flame.
J’Mel has built a strong following, as he also has affiliations with French Montana and his Coke Boys. But, what has proven to be a strong affiliation has been one J’Mel shares with DJ YRS Jerzy. The two have known each other for years and they have come together for J’Mel’s new mixtape, The Fix Up.
In addition to being one of the next up-and-coming emcees, J’Mel also has a rising record label. With all of this in the works, he delivered his long-awaited street offering, The Fix Up. J’Mel delivered some of his best work on the mixtape, which was hosted by DJ YRS Jerzy.
