Usually when K. Michelle is getting press at Hip Hop Vibe, it has to do with her body. But, just as nice as K. Michelle’s body is the music she makes. Who would’ve thought soul music would be as viable as it is in 2013, seeing the downturn it had taken over the past few years?
K. Michelle dropped “V.S.O.P.” right before Memorial Day and she has continued the the run well into December. Few artists have been able to boast of having a song last that long on the radio. Going from reality television star to music star has never been done, but K. Michelle is the exception to the rule.
Rebellious Soul is a good album and it’s gotten the good album treatment. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed at Soul Train. There was a lot said on Twitter about her outfit and it was definitely something to stare at, but K. Michelle came out of there with the award for “Best New Artist.”
