Kaliii’s smash hit “Area Codes” single goes gold
In late 2021 and mid-2022, Kaliii broke out as an artist with her “MMM MMM” single. That was produced by fellow Atlanta native ATL Jacob, as the remix also went on to feature Latto and Moneybagg Yo. MMM MMM initially appeared on her “Toxic Chocolate” EP.
Moreover, in 2023, Kaliii added another major single to her resume. This is “Area Codes,” which initially went viral in the spring. As a result, it even went on to peak at number 33 in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In addition to this, Kaliii released various remixes of it in the summer, which included features from Sexyy Red, Lil Kayla, and more.
Meanwhile, Area Codes has reached another key milestone. It is now certified gold in the US, according to Chart Data. This comes after selling over 500,000 units. The visuals for Area Codes on YouTube have also amassed over 36 million views.
Kaliii’s gold certification for Area Codes also comes after she released her new “Fck Girl SZN” EP, last week. That contained four songs, including collaborations with GloRilla, Young Nudy, and NLE Choppa. The EP also contained a remix to Kaliii’s “K Toven” single, which featured NLE Choppa and DJ Smallz 732.
