This year, Kanye West made his mark on the game when he released his Yeezus album, his sixth solo effort. Ever since his hiatus, Kanye West has come back with something new every year. In between his album releases, Kanye West dropped a collaboration project with Jay-Z and a compilation with G.O.O.D. Music.
Kanye West took the solo spotlight back this year and was supposed to release the biggest album of the year. Instead, Kanye West dropped songs that were met with little-to-no reaction and disappointing record sales. Although he beat J. Cole in the first week battle, he has been losing the album war.
“New Slaves” is one song where Kanye West has received a lot of reaction from it and this song has done moderately well. Kanye West was paid $3 million to perform the song in Kazakhstan and now he is paying the price for it. Kazakhstan is one of the countries on the bad side of the United States, so Kanye West is under fire, again.
