Kanye West took to twitter to clarify his silence after Jimmy Kimmel asked him why he thinks Donald Trump cares about black people, when he so famously spoke out about George Bush not caring about black people.  Kanye, of course, was dead silent and Kimmel cut to commercial break. Kanye received a lot of backlash from people accusing him of spreading Trump’s racist rhetoric by trying to sound deep.

Kanye tweeted that he was stumped by the question, he was actually taking time to think of an answer. He said that they cut to commercial break and he wasn’t given time to even answer the question. Interesting enough, he did the same thing when Charlamagne Tha God asked him the same question in an interview.

For Kanye to go from the streets of Chicago as a black man, to this sunken place that he is at now, it’s sad. He wants to sound so fake deep that he just says ANYTHING and he doesn’t realize that his words have power. By wearing a MAGA hat and considering someone like Trump a friend, he continues to push the envelope in the wrong direction of history. If Trump is such a good president, why are families getting torn apart at the border? Why are racist white people so empowered to spew hate so openly now? Just say you don’t have the answers Ye.
