Hip hop, as a whole, has been thoroughly impressed by Kendrick Lamar. An impressive rookie in the rap game, Kendrick Lamar is making his rounds. With good kid, m.A.A.d. city out and considered an instant classic, Kendrick Lamar has scored a fan favorite with “Backseat Freestyle.”
Based off this song, alone, Kendrick Lamar has made his media rounds. The music video for “Backseat Freestyle” was released and it features appearances from Kendrick’s real-life father. However, “Sherane” has become the breakout star from the music video.
After speaking with MTV about “Backseat Freestyle,” Kendrick Lamar talked to FUSE TV about the video. During the interview, Kendrick Lamar spoke on how the song came together. Of course, the topic of “Sherane” was also expanded upon, as there is a real life Sherane.
