Kendrick Lamar heading for biggest streaming year of his career
In 2024, Kendrick Lamar has been the most dominant artist in the industry. He shook hip-hop up with his verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Like That” record, as he took shots at Drake and J. Cole. Moreover, in late April and the first week of May, Kendrick dropped off four impressive Drake diss songs. One of them included “Not Like Us,” which debuted atop the Hot 100, is already platinum, and is already the biggest song of 2024.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar is also breaking even more streaming records. He has now already surpassed 4 billion streams on Spotify. Moreover, he’s also reportedly heading for his biggest streaming year of his career.
Furthermore, Kendrick is also headlining the “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert in his hometown of Los Angeles, on June 19. This will be held at the Kia Forum, in the Inglewood area of LA. This is sponsored by Kendrick’s PgLand record label, as well as Free Lunch. It’s also anticipated that various special guests will come through as well, such as Mustard and Baby Keem. On Friday, Kendrick also delivered a commencement speech in his hometown of Compton, at Compton College.
