Last year, the TDE rapper also made an appearance on “Under The Sun” which also had J. Cole, DaBaby, and Lute. This record was on Dreamville’s ‘Revenge of The Dreamers III‘ album.
Fans recently asked TDE President, Punch, for Lamar’s return as he replied that they don’t deserve it. While fans anxiously await for new music, they are still having his previous albums on repeat. This includes his classic ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city‘ album from 2012. This included the breakout hit singles “Swimming Pools” and “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
good kid, m.A.A.d city is regarded as a classic project now and it proves this point on the charts now as well. According to Chart Data, it has now spent 400 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. This now makes it the longest charting hip-hop studio album in history. Other huge records on good kid, m.A.A.d city are “Poetic Justice” feat. Drake and “m.A.A.d city” feat. west coast legend, MC Eiht.
good kid, m.A.A.d city initially reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA in the United States. It is also recognized as arguably the best hip-hop album of the 2010s.
