Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” debuts at number one in US
Over the past week and a half, Kendrick Lamar has been dominating with his latest Drake diss track, “Not Like Us.” Moreover, many believe this is the record that easily won this beef for Kendrick, over Drake.
Meanwhile, Kendrick’s dominance with his Not Like Us single continues in a major way. It has just debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This comes after selling a massive 510,000 units in its first week, per Chart Data. Furthermore, it also marks Kendrick’s first number one solo hit. This milestone also comes after Not Like Us reached gold eligibility over the weekend, and became the fastest song in 2024 to do so, in less than five days.
This month, Kendrick Lamar released four Drake diss tracks, in total. Four of those all came within the same weekend. Drake put out two in that weekend, as the last song to be released between the two was Drake’s “The Heart Part 6.” That was named after Kendrick’s 2022 “The Heart Part 5,” as many felt that Drake’s effort wasn’t good enough, and that he felt defeated. This past weekend, Drake even hinted at the beef being put on hold, and looking to put out new music for the summer.
