The OWN Network is set to bring audiences a new docu-series, Love in the City,” giving audiences a slice of life in New York City from some Black girls’ point of view. Two-time, Emmy Award winning hairstylist Kiyah Wright is part of the cast on the new reality show.
She’s stepping from behind the scenes of her salon and getting in front of the cameras to give audiences an up-close-and-personal look at her friendships with three of her life-long BFFs. No fake friendships here, Wright has known these girls for a very long time. And it appears they consider her a little bossy.
A talented hairstylist and trendsetter, Wright has groomed the tresses of model/tv personality Tyra Banks as well as actresses Gabrielle Union and Kerry Washington, She’s also a brand ambassador and celebrity colorist for Clairol Professional, a leader in professional hair color. A smart business woman, Wright founded the Muze|Hair care line., and launched the hair line with styling products, including the popular “Last Look” hairspray. Look for Kiyah’s take on the Big Apple in the coming days. “Love in the City” is set to premiere on OWN on Saturday, April 12 at 10 p.m. EDT/PDT; but, we have a sneak preview below.
