We’ve seen some epic Instagram Live music battles between producers and artists over the past month during the quarantine era of this coronavirus pandemic. Among the most memorable ones have been T-Pain vs Lil Jon, Babyface vs Teddy Riley, and Boi-1da vs Hit Boy. The Riley vs Babyface was filled with the most drama as Riley had technical difficulties on his Live as there were problems with his sound as he was in a studio and had too much equipment on.
Diddy recently revealed that he’s in talks with Dr. Dre about an IG Live battle but in the meantime, another one has been confirmed. That will be Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony vs DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia on April 30 at 8pm ET. Bone Thugs have worked with some of the best to ever do it such as 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G, and Eazy-E. Three 6 also has two platinum albums and are recognized as one of the most iconic hip-hop groups of all-time as well. Three 6 member, Project Pat, also collaborated with Bone back in 1999 on the track “Up There.”
Paul categorized this as a “face off” and not a battle due to it being a celebration of the two. Hopefully, all members of each group will be present with both Krayzie Bone and DJ Paul. Limited edition merchandise will be available as well. This should be another hot topic on social media as it’s been with a lot of these Verzuz matchups on IG Live.
