Latto receives criticism for working with Dr. Luke on “Lottery” single
On Friday, Latto released her first single of 2023, which was her highly anticipated “Lottery.” This also included a huge feature from pop star Lu Kala. Latto released the visuals for this record as well, as many fans believe she has another major pop hit on her hands, the way “Big Energy” was, in 2021, and 2022.
However, Latto is now receiving backlash for working with the producer of Lottery. This is Dr. Luke, who was sued by Kesha in 2014, for sexual assault and battery. She reportedly dropped the lawsuit, due to threats of being released from her label contract. Luke allegedly initially drugged Kesha with an uknown substance.
As a result, Latto hasn’t spoken on the criticism against Dr. Luke yet. Despite this being a buzzing topic, many fans are still enjoying the sounds of Lottery, as it’s on its way to being another major hit for Latto and Lu Kala. It has already began buzzing heavily on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
This month, Latto was also nominated for two Grammys. These were in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance.
