Lenny Kravitz vents about never having Black media support

Lenny Kravitz always has been one of the biggest rockstars of all-time. Despite being a Black artist, he’s hardly ever worked with Black artists. As a result, he has never had much coverage from the Black outlets. Esquire Magazine recently featured Lenny Kravitz for their Winter issue. During this interview, he opened up about his media coverage.

Lenny Kravitz had a recurring role on FOX’s series, “STAR.” However, he never had a full storyline on the show. In addition, he appeared on the Bad Boys II soundtrack. Aside from that, there’ve been few times when Kravitz worked with Black artists, or Black media. None of this means he hasn’t felt a way about his coverage and support.

Lenny Kravitz recently spoke with Esquire Magazine and he opened up about a lot. In his interview, he wound up venting about never being invited to events from The Source or BET. He said he’s never had much coverage from the Black media outlets. Despite his immense success, as a mainstream star, he apparently also wanted to have the Black media behind him.
