Lil Durk announces new album with Metro Boomin
Lil Durk continues to be one of the biggest artists in the industry, over the past few years. Last week, the Chicago rapper also dropped off the deluxe edition, for his seventh studio album, “7220.” 14 new songs were added, as features included Moneybagg Yo, Ella Mai, EST Gee, and more.
Durk’s entire 7220 album had 31 tracks in total, with appearances from Morgan Wallen, Summer Walker, Gunna, and more. Now, Durk has another album on the way, as well.
In a new interview with Ebro of Apple Music, Durk says that this will be a joint album with Metro Boomin. The title of this project still hasn’t been revealed yet, nor the release date.
“As far as next album, you done heard something,” Durk began when asked about his next project. “Nah, it’s really the Metro.”
Metro Boomin is still one of the biggest producers in the industry. At the moment, he has been dealing with a tragic loss, as his mother was killed by her boyfriend, earlier this month. Metro went on to hold a funeral for her, as close friends and loved ones were invited.
