Sisqo made sure he would never be forgotten with his classic single, “Thong Song.” Fourteen years after releasing “Thong Song,” it remains a classic. However, had some deals behind the scenes gone differently, the song would have been much different. One of the biggest singles in the 1990s would have undoubtedly been bigger had Lil’ Kim been on the song.
In the 1990s, Lil’ Kim became one of the biggest rappers in the game. As a female rapper, Lil’ Kim set several records that would stand until 2010. More important than her records, to the fans at least, was the impact Lil’ Kim was having. Donning sexy outfits, Lil’ Kim was one female the hip hop world wanted to see in a thong and it almost happened.
Earlier this week, Lil’ Kim visited Sway Calloway’s MTV series, “RapFix Live.” During her segment, Lil’ Kim did an interview and introduced Tiffany Foxx. When Lil’ Kim spoke, she talked about how she had a chance to be featured on Sisqo’s “Thong Song.” However, with Diddy being her manager and unable to reach a deal with Lyor Cohen, this never happened.
