Lil Wayne is regarded by many hip-hop fans as one of the best rappers to ever do it and the numbers speak for themselves. Today, the Young Money boss received another round of platinum plaques, with many of them have already reached double platinum status before. Today’s total was at seven.
According to Chart Data, Wayne’s “Tha Carter” finally reached the first-time platinum mark, “Tha Carter II” is now at 2 platinum, “Tha Carter III” is 6x platinum, and “Tha Carter IV” got to 5x platinum. As far as records go, Wayne’s classic “Lollipop” featuring Static Major impressively reached 8x platinum, “How To Love” is 5x platinum, and the hard-hitting “A Milli” is also 5x platinum. This is also Wayne’s birthday so these are epic gifts.
Wayne has been very consistent in 2020 as well as his 13th studio album, “Funeral,” was released in January which was another No. 1 album for him. This month, he finally put out his classic 2009 “No Ceilings” mixtape on all streaming platforms and this past weekend, Wayne released the deluxe edition to his 2018 “Tha Carter V” as this included 11 additional tracks with features from Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Raekwon, and Post Malone.
