Several rappers have gone to prison over the past few years. Two of the first ones, of their magnitude, were T.I. and Lil Wayne. At the peak of his career, T.I. went to prison and his career has not gotten back on track, to date. Lil Wayne recorded music in advance and continued releasing music while he was in prison.
Tha Carter IV was initially due in 2009, but was delayed throughout 2010. With the album pushed back and songs dropped, Lil Wayne released I Am Not a Human Being. The album clearly was a holdover for Tha Carter IV, but Lil Wayne planned a sequel to his second 2010 album for his 2012 album that ended up being delayed until 2013.
On March 26, Lil Wayne plans to release I Am Not a Human Being 2. “No Worries” was the first single off the album and it did well. Refocused on the album, Lil Wayne has more singles planned for 2013. Today, Lil Wayne released the official artwork for his new album, which is going to soon begin impacting.
