Quickly, North Carolina is becoming a growing hotbed for new hip hop stars. Though the wait was lengthy, J. Cole debuted last summer to much success. Since the emergence of J. Cole, many other North Carolina stars are beating down the door. Of these stars, Lo Keys is among those making the biggest moves.
Lo Keys has released a series of songs over the past few months. Earlier this summer, the North Carolina emcee revealed the track listing for American Greed. For the project, Lo Keys teamed up with two of the biggest names. Big Mike and DJ Woogie share the hosting duties of the project.
On the actual recording of the mixtape, Lo Keys also shared songs with many of the big names and legends in the game. Prodigy, of Mobb Deep, is among the artists who are featured on the project. Last week, Lo Keys finally released American Greed, following months of anticipation.
