Danger is everywhere, even right at a person’s doorstep. As a result, a person never can be too safe. In most cases, home is a person’s refuge. So that’s the last place where a person expects to be in danger, especially if they’ve done nothing to have enemies. But one man ended up almost robbed and with the cops called on him. This all started when two men pretending to be maintenance workers came to his door and then tried to break in. In self-defense, the man shot at those people.
In 2023, there has been a huge increase in break-ins. How people go about entering places they don’t belong is becoming more elaborate, too. Most commonly, in years past, people would wait until a place was abandoned and then break in. If they wanted to break in while people were present, they would simply come in ready to commit violent crimes, in addition to robberies. Now, people are resorting to things such as fraud.
Recently, a video went viral showing a man answering his apartment door. Two men told him they were maintenance and needed to enter his home. However, the man refused to let the two men in. As a result, the two men began trying to kick the man’s door down. The guys succeeded in getting the doors loose, but then the man opened fire. After that, the guys ran away. But the police were called and they made the man and his brother exit the house, as they questioned them.
