Earlier this year, Jay-Z announced he would be performing in Philadelphia, putting together the “Made in America” festival. The show was initially said to be a performance of Jay-Z, alone. However, Jay-Z’s former artist, Freeway, announced there would be more days added to the show.
Months later, the “Made in America” festival launched in Philadelphia. Jay-Z has aligned some of the biggest rap stars in the game for the festival. When aligning the biggest rap stars, it currently does not get any bigger than Maybach Music. With Meek Mill being a member of Maybach Music Group and a Philadelphia native, he had to be on the bill.
Meek Mill performed, alongside Rick Ross “Ima Boss.” Rick Ross would later take the stage, alone, performing “B.M.F.” Wale then followed, performing “Bait,” before Rick Ross returned to perform “Hustlin.'” Their set would be closed, however, by Meek Mill, who performed “Amen” and “Burn” to conclude.
