To be clear, Meek Mill never went anywhere, but it’d be dumb to say his reputation did not take a hit. Before he dissed Drake, Meek Mill was becoming annoying with how he was acting with Nicki Minaj. Most forgot, but Joe Budden called him out on that before the Drake beef.
Meek Mill scored a big radio hit, the first of his career, but then Drake took offense to his tweets. The beef left Meek Mill the butt of all rap jokes for two years. So, Meek Mill was motivated to launch a major comeback, which he did.
The comeback is complete with Wins and Losses coming out, him scoring another radio hit, and a big debut. Regarding his newest album, Meek Mill is on pace to land at number one, but Tyler, The Creator and Lana Del Rey remain stiff competition. He will move around 85,000 to 90,000 copies of the album.
