The 2011-2012 period was a period of astonishment for Maybach Music. Rick Ross’ camp officially went from mixtape success to album success, as Meek Mill released his debut album. His run started with the “Amen” single featuring Drake that dominated the summer.
With all this success came some pitfalls, however, when Meek Mill got arrested for accusations of having drugs in his tour bus. Having nothing on his bus, Meek Mill was angered over his arrest. Taking aim, Meek Mill filed a lawsuit, claiming racism and loss of $400,000 in damages and emotional distress.
Recently, the verdict came in and Meek Mill lost his lawsuit against the Philadelphia police department. Meek Mill said he is not surprised at the ruling, as he didn’t expect the jurors to understand. Meanwhile, the police officers say they did not violate his fourth amendment rights.
