Last year, the Migos saw themselves rise from being mixtape stars in Atlanta to household names. They dropped the “Versace” single and all the major artists made remixes to it. While their name rose, Drake held a verse for the official remix that he dropped on his website that made them household names.
While the Migos have gone on an impressive run, they have yet to fully get the tastemakers in the industry on deck. A lot of it comes from them being Southern artists and their dialect is not what many are used to. Plus, they are so young that older fans can’t relate.
This was the situation the good folks at Hot 97 hilariously presented this morning when the Migos explained their style to Ebro and Peter Rosenberg. The lovely Laura Stylez was also on deck when the Migos spoke. They talked about their style and their new music.
