Morgan State University is one of the most popular HBCUs in the nation. Last night, Morgan State became the latest university to become home to a mass shooting. These situations have become increasingly more prominent throughout the nation. There was a time when all school campuses were considered to be safe havens. Now, they seem like breeding grounds for mass shootings. After the MSU shooting, campus police entered the dorm of a Black student, and pulled guns on them.

Mass shootings are now defined as public shootings where more than four people are shot. Seemingly, during the summer, these tragedies seem to take place more often. However, with that being said, heartbreaking mass shootings have taken place during various points in the year. The heartbreaking shooting at Sandy Hook, in Connecticut took place right before Christmas. Any time lives are so senselessly ended, it’s a heartbreaking occasion.

Morgan State University’s shooting was a tragedy. Thankfully, there were only four victims, and each of them survived their injuries. However, after the shooting, campus police ended up drawing their weapons on some students in a dorm. They held one of the students at gunpoint. As a result, the young man quickly put his hands up. After that, the officers asked the man to walk past them and out of the door. Then, the video abruptly ends.
