Last summer, Nas released the sequel to his 2002 mixtape ‘The Lost Tapes.’ The fan reaction of the New York legend was positive as that came a year after releasing his ‘NASIR’ album which was executive produced by Kanye West. Earlier this year, Big Sean was in the studio with Nas and revealed that Nas does have another album on the way.
At the end of last month, Hit-Boy previewed a song he produced for Nas during an Instagram Live battle with Boi1da and now, Nas is confirming that new material is in fact on the way. In a video chat with DJ Ralph McDaniels during the HipHopLovesNY benefit concert, he revealed that multiple projects are on the way. One is with Hit Boy and the other is one that he won’t disclose for now.
“Hit-Boy, that’s been fun working with him,” said Nas. “He played a snippet in the battle the other day.. of something. We got some things.”
Nas is definitely one of the best to do it and getting two albums from him in 2020 would be blessings for all hip-hop fans. Hopefully, we can receive one of these projects by the start of the summer. Check him out speaking with McDaniels along with one of the tracks he has with Hit-Boy below.
