NBA Youngboy Pleads Not Guilty To Charges of Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Being in Possession of an Unregistered Firearm; Will Remain in Jail Until at Least Trial Date in June

On March 23, NBA Youngboy ran into some serious legal woes again. The Louisiana rapper was arrested by the feds in Los Angeles. He originally attempted to flee on foot but was tracked down by a K-9. Youngboy was wanted on gun charges stemming from a firearm seige by police in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA last fall while shooting a music video.

Youngboy was recently denied $540,000 bond and now, he is remaining in prison. According to WBRZ 2, he is also now entering a not guilty plea on charges of one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possession of an unregistered firearm.

This all comes after Youngboy faced a judge on Thursday via video calland entered this not guilty plea. A hearing will also take place coming up on April 20 for “state weapons and drugs charges.” Youngboy is also being incarcerated at St. Martin Parish jail and is “on a federal hold for the U.S. Marshal’s Service.”

Regarding a trial date, this will be set for June. Youngboy will also be held until at least that time. Considering Youngboy’s severe legal history, many feel that he may not beat this case. He was put in jail back in 2019 after violating his probation after he and his crew were involved in a shootout in Miami allegedly with Tee Grizzley’s crew.
