Recently, North Carolina has been in the news more than many residents are used to it being. Since 2008, North Carolina has been a part of major political discussion, with Obama making it a battleground state. Then, there is HB2, and all of the weather situations.
With the exception of the past few years, North Carolina rarely had snow. But, the past few years have seen some rather rough snowstorms, in spite of the typically-warm, year-round weather. There are cold days in between, some of which provide snow.
As the world learned during both the storm and political seasons, the residents of North Carolina have a way with social media. This same level of panic and humor is being brought to the snow season. After tinkering with a few names, #NCSnow is the one most have settled on using.
