Simone Biles was 2016’s breakout star, as an Olympic gymnast. However, personal issues took their toll on her, so she withdrew from the spotlight. As a result, Biles became one of the faces of normalizing people struggling with mental health issues. While she is an inspiration, she was not the point, last night, at the Packers-Bengals preseason game. Because she’s the celebrity, the NFL showed Biles walking into the stadium. But the people wanted to see more of the woman to her right. That didn’t happen.
Most sporting events have a random moment that overshadows everything. A celebrity entering a game as a spectator is normally enough to become that moment. However, there are other times when the moment is something more random. Last night, there was a moment that could have definitely turned out that way. But people should know that, for the obvious reasons, the NFL was not really going to go there.
When Simone Biles entered the Green Bay Packers-Cincinnati Bengals game, there was a woman to her right. While Biles was definitely the celebrity in the scenario, this woman was the star. She had the look and it looks like she had more. As she walked beside Biles, the ladies were clearly headed to their respective seats. The man filming the situation had a job to get Simone Biles on the camera, but the people watching wanted to see the back angle of the other woman.
