Both ladies showed up, but they took subliminal digs at each other. As a result, their husbands, Kenneth Petty, and Offset, got involved. Offset allegedly sent Kenny a DM, so Kenny pulled up with his goons, and went live.
Kenneth Petty is Nicki Minaj ex, who she dated when she was in high school. This is the man that she was involved with before she got with Safaree. After that, Nicki had a high profile relationship with Meek Mill. Early in 2017, Nicki announced that relationship was over. During the second half of 2017, Nicki began showing up in photos with Nas. While they never confirmed anything, it’s clear what was going on. In 2019, she reunited with Kenny, her ex, and now her husband and father of her child.
Offset has been involved with Cardi B, ever since she signed with Atlantic. Previously, Cardi had a boyfriend in prison named Tommy. They broke up on “Love & Hip Hop.” After that, Cardi B began her rise in music. As a result, the world pit her and Nicki Minaj against each other. Six years later, the two have continued their feud. At the VMAs, this was a backdrop of the event. Afterwards, the husbands ended up going back and forth. According to Kenny, Offset DM-ed, so he went to Offset’s building with his goons.
