Nicki Minaj Loses Out on #1 to Travis Scott; Tweets About How Travis Used Kylie Jenner and Baby Stormi to Help Sell Album

It’s Sunday and the the first week sale numbers are out for Nicki Minaj’s “Queen” album. A lot of people thought the album would land at #2, behind Travis Scott’s highly-anticipated “AstroWorld”, and it did. Via Billboard, “Queen” garnered 185,000 equivalent album units of which 78,000 were in traditional album sales. Nicki took to twitter to send out some Donald Trump-like tweets to fans about why her album was really #1, even though the sales say otherwise. Instead of Nicki just celebrating her first week sales, she blamed Travis’ babymama, Kylie Jenner, and their newborn baby Stormi for supporting Travis. Inadvertently, she threw Drake under the bus by shading Spotify. She says Spotify wanted to punish her for playing her album early on Queen Radio, but they let Drake play his album on Apple early and his face gets posted all over Spotify’s playlist. I don’t know which person in her camp is encouraging all of this behavior, but Nicki really needs to put the phone down. Your album still did well and other artists would kill to go #2. She needs to go on another social media hiatus because these rants and interviews she’s been doing lately aren’t helping her career at all.  Take a look below for her tweets.
