Normani to release “Candy Paint” single on May 31
A few months ago, Normani revealed the cover art and title for her long-awaited debut studio album, which has been in the works for five years. This is “Dopamine,” as the singer also confirmed in late April, that it’ll finally be arriving on June 14. Moreover, that was also the same day that Normani put out her “1:59″ single, with Gunna.
Meanwhile, Normani has also just announced another lead single from her “Dopamine” album. This is “Candy Paint,” which will be released on May 31. This is a nod to the car culture in Normani’s hometown of Houston, TX.
Normani’s debut album has been in the works since 2019. At the time, she just began to kick off her career as a solo artist, as she was initially with the group Fifth Harmony. That year, Normani saw massive success with her debut solo single, “Motivation.” That peaked at number 33 in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The remix went on to feature 21 Savage. However, many delays soon occurred, regarding the Dopamine album. Nonetheless, the wait is almost finally over, as it arrives in two weeks.
